This is a type of asthma that is caused by allergies. Allergic asthma varies from one person to the other. This is because the allergies that one is infected or affected to are not the same. It is therefore of paramount importance for a patient to know what he is allergic to. This will help the patient take the necessary measures to prevent asthma attack. There are several types of situations that one could be allergic to. Environmental pollution could be one and safety measures should be observed.
The environment around one’s workplace could have certain conditions that one could be allergic to. These conditions cause irritants to the airways and cause symptoms of asthma. Vigorous exercise may also be a type of allergic infection causing this condition. Colds or viral infections, weather, house dust mites and other allergies one may be infected with. Therefore, preventative measures would be a good and safe option to undertake.
Animals can also cause allergic asthma if one is allergic to them. Medicines also can cause allergies. It could be an ingredient contained in the medicine that one is reacting to. pollen, molds, and fungi can also contribute to allergic asthma. Once one is aware of what causes reactions in their condition, preventative measures are easier to take.
There are treatments available to control allergic asthma. There are preventer inhalers that are used on a regular basis to lessen the chances of attacks. Reliever inhalers that are used in the cause of an asthma attack. This helps to bring relief. Steroid tablets are another form of treatment for allergies. Allergies are abnormal immune responses to allergens like pollen grains, dust, moulds and foodstuffs. The allergens can enter the body through inhalation, ingestion, injection, or external skin contact. Allergens cause abnormal production of immunoglobulin E (IgE), an antibody already present in the body in small amounts. When the antigen makes contact with some part of the body, it is taken up, processed by Antigen Presenting Cell (APC) and presented on a Class II MHC to Helper cells. In the early stages of allergy, a type I hypersensitivity reaction against an allergen, encountered for the first time, causes a response in the T helper cells. These T helper cells produce cytokines which stimulate B-cells to produce large amount of IgE by proliferating IgE producing plasma cells. Secreted IgE circulates in the blood and binds to an IgE-specific receptor on the surface of mast cells and basophils, which are both involved in the acute inflammatory response. The IgE-coated cells, at this stage are sensitized to the allergen. During second exposure, antigen binds to the IgE antibodies on the mast cells. Activated mast cells and basophils undergo degranulation to release histamine and other inflammatory chemical mediators (cytokines, interleukins, leukotrienes, and prostaglandins) from their granules into the surrounding tissue causing several systemic effects, such as Nasal Stuffyness, Sneezing, Runny nose, Watery eyes and mucous discharge. This animation delineates the process of immune response on encounter with an allergen.

allergic
Allergies are the immune system’s specific reaction to a normally harmless substance such as pollens, certain foods, or medicines. There are two main types, seasonal and perennial. The seasonal variety occurs at specific times of the year, while the perennial variety can happen year-round. In many cases, successful treatment involves medication, reducing contact with specific allergens, or shots. For videos and more check out http://www.emedtv.com/.

I have a reaction to cats when i am around them or touch them. Symptoms are sneezing, puffy and itchy and watery eyes, itchy throat, blocked and itchy nose. But i really love cats. Is there any way i can overcome my allergy to them? Any drugs or anything?
There are drugs, which you should use. Spending time around cats will decrease your allergy symptoms as your body gets used to it. If you get a cat you should groom once a week and a bathe them once a month, and install a hepa filtration system (or better) if you have central heating, or place indavidual air filtration ystems in the rooms you use most. Vacuming helps a lot and I mean vacum everything!

1) What is the name of allergy in which the person is allergic to alcohol?
"Tila Tequila Is Allergic to Alcohol!"
It’s Alcohol intolerance
Alcohol intolerance can cause immediate, unpleasant reactions after you consume alcohol. The most common symptoms caused by alcohol intolerance include nasal congestion and flushing skin. This condition is sometimes inaccurately referred to as an alcohol allergy. Alcohol intolerance is caused by a genetic condition in which the body is unable to break down alcohol. The only way to prevent alcohol intolerance is to avoid alcohol altogether.
In some cases, what may seem to be alcohol intolerance is caused by a reaction to something else in an alcoholic beverage — such as chemicals, grains or preservatives. In other cases, reactions are caused by combining alcohol with certain medications. Rarely, reactions to alcohol can be a sign of a serious underlying health problem that requires diagnosis and treatment.
