food allergy
Hi, i am allergic to fruits and vegetables, the only ones that i know of that i can eat are mangos, grapes and peppers. usually i just try to eat these groups canned, cooked, or dry. but i really do miss eating them, would getting allergy desensitization/immunotherapy shots help? can you even get those shots for food allergies? if not, what are my other options?
I tell you what. I will trade my allergy to wheat for your fruit and veggie allergies. Wow! I have never heard of this. I hope you get a good answer. I once took the shots for grass and trees and the like, but really don’t remember if the food things were included or not. I am also allergic to tomatoes, but ignore it. In my experience, I can get away with eating a little wheat and tomatoes(pizza) without symptoms. But if I really go wild, I turn into a mess.
Talk to your allergist about this. Perhaps he can help you.

allergic
I love going to the farm but i am VERY allergic to most of the animals there (horses, cows, dogs, cats, etc.) I also am allergic to the plants like flowers and pollen. I want to spend a few months on a farm through wwoof, but i cant right now due to my allergies. my question is to know if there is any type of allergy shot that will last a while or will I have to take pills? Will these methods work on ALL of my allergies?
I would recommend Nasonex or Beconase AQ. You will need a prescription. Both are steroidal nasal sprays. It is recommended that you start the medication nearly a week before exposure, because the nasal spray can take up to five days to start working. In my experience, it works better than any antihistamines. Allergy shots can take up to five years to get the maximum benefits.

What Is a Food Allergy?
A food allergy is an immune system response. It occurs when the body mistakes an ingredient in food — usually a protein — as harmful and creates a defense system (antibodies) to fight it.
What Is Food Intolerance?
Food intolerance is a digestive system response rather than an immune system response. It occurs when something in a food irritates a person’s digestive system or when a person is unable to properly digest or breakdown, the food. Intolerance to lactose, which is found in milk and other dairy products, is the most common food intolerance.

allergic
I met a really sweet girl who told me she was allergic to seafood and milk. I would like to take her out to, or make her dinner, but what could I make or what type of restraunt would be best. Thank you for all help.
Good suggestions above but just a note.
Milk–soy milk is fine. Stay away from breads, they contain milk (some rye breads fo not contain milk). Stay away from butter and margarine, contains milk.
She would know what she can eat best. Unless it is a surprise, get her input on the food types and restrauant she can get a meal that she would have no problem with.

pet allergy
It’s definitely possible – allergies are reactions to things in our environment which cause irritation if the allergens enter the body. If the reaction is severe enough, it is entirely possible for the swelling to occur in the airways and block them off – similar to anaphylaxis.
Hope this helps.

food allergy
i feed my bulmastiff dick van patten’s duck & potato allergy formula which seems to have helped with his food allergy but now he has a horrible odor which from some research i think might be yeast. My vet says the medications for a yeast infection are harsh and may cause liver or kidney problems is there anything else i can use to get rid of the odor/yeast problem?
it all depends on where the yeast infection seeing as i don’t know this ask your Vet what you can do
