I want to get a food allergy test so I can figure out what causes me to break out. Should my doctor be able to produce me one? Or do I go somewhere else? >.>
You go to the doctor, he refers you then the hospital call you to schedule the test so you can go for it

I’ve had some symptoms I think may be related to food allergies. Is it any home treatment for food allergy?
The only 100% effective treatment for food allergies / intolerances that i know of is to completely avoid the food that is upsetting your system…… and the health benefits that will result will have you glowing with health.
I’ve got more food allergies / intolerances than any person should ever have to live with.
I wish so much that there was a home remedy for you buddy …..;0)
bless

I started getting a small rash on my lower stomach 3 days ago and the next day i had one on my lower back on the same side. I realized that it popped up when I tried fiber bars for the first time. The last bar I had was 2 days ago and the rash is still here and when I rub against it, it is slightly painful. How long will it take to go away and is it something other than a food allergy?
take antihistamine or diphenhydramine hcl. or better yet, consult your doctor, they know best.

Grandma keep claiming this and I think it sounds dangerous. People die from some allergies.
As an example: If you are allergic to shellfish eat shellfish daily and you will be cured from the allergy.
The only way that really works is when the allergist does it through shots. They start out with a very tiny fraction of the substance such as one part per ten million.

I am allergic to soy and dairy. I had soy on Monday, and it gave me a horrible burning spot in my throat/in the back of my mouth. I went to the doctor, she checked me out and said this was my food allergy. I also have sore/swollen lymph nodes in my neck.
The allergic reaction happened on Monday, but my throat still burns from it. Is this bad?
Really severe food reactions can last at least 2 weeks–maybe more.
Make sure when you take a shower or bath, you have it as cool as you can stand it. Hot and very warm can cause more histamine release.
Hope the doctor gave you allergy pills, or an Rx, or an epi pen. Are you taking Benadryl? You should have allergy pills and an epi pen on hand.

What should I do if my child has a food allergy? Should I stop giving a food if I think he is sensitive to it?
yes. the more exposures could lead to increased symptoms. trust your gut on this one b/c many drs are not super helpful.

food allergy
She woke up with one eye a little puffy, could it be a food allergy or just something else? It wasn’t too bad and is fine now. Yesterday she ate some scrambled eggs for the first time, before that she just ate yolks, not the whites. Coincidence?
My nephew is allergic to eggs. He gets severe stomach aches, diarrea and sometimes vomiting. If she already ingested the eggs and it didn’t happen sooner, than she is probably not allergic to eggs. I’m not sure what it could be but if it happens again, then I would call your doctor.
Hope this helps!

My wife woke up yesterday morning with severely puffy eyes and face. Instead of washing off the halloween makeup when she got home, she went to sleep with it on and it seems that she had an allergic reaction. She took benadryl and claritin yesterday and nothing has helped. Are there any home remedies out there that anyone can suggest to help subside an allergic reaction to something? Any help would be appreciated! Thx.
Please only send useful answers. "Don’t put makeup on in the first place" is not exactly relevant at this point in time.
I think It would be a good idea to call her doctor and tell him/her, it would be nice to get their opion on the matter. Do you still have the box for the holloween makeup, you might want to check whats in the makeup. Holloween makeup is usually really cheap and bad. Good luck

I am conducting research for my degree on the problems food allergy sufferers incure when eating out. It will involve an online questionnaire thats all.
Sure…depending on the details.
