thanks

I have suffered really badly for years with hayfever and have tried all anti histamines steroid injections and desensitization injections also! a friend of mine also suffers badly and was given mizollen last year with great results. i have used it this year alongside a top dose of flixonase and am absolutely symptom free so far even with all this great weather. so i would highly recommend mizollen which is only available on prescription and flixonase 2 puffs up wach nostril twice a day. hope this is helpful

How to get rid of hay fever quickly?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: hay fever

My hay fever is not very bad yet but I can feel it coming on . I have a stuffy nose and I’m tired and I’m really warm. How can I get rid of it quickly before it gets any worse ?

Stock up on hay fever tablets, nasal spray, cool water spray and soft tissues. It won’t go away completely but it will help.

Is the pet allergy product called Dinovite safe to use?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: pet allergy

My dog is 13 years old and has severe allergies for a good part of his life. Recently things have been getting worse, despite his regular allergy shots, special foods, and weekly baths with a $30 special shampoo..

I heard an add for Dinovite and it completely describes him with all of his symptoms. It seems people have had good results and I’m pretty much willing to try anything, but I’m concerned that it may not be safe for him…. Does anyone know if this is safe to use.

This is the product: http://www.dinovite.com/

Thanks so much!
One added note, my vet really doesn’t go for natural products. Any time I’ve ever asked about him he doesn’t really say much…. So that really isn’t an option…. However, I am going tomorrow, allergy shots!, and I will talk with him then, but I just wanted to see what others thought.

Thanks

Yes I have used this on my dog for three years now, and it works perfectly

in your opinion what is the best for getting rid of hay fever fast?

i have really bad hay fever at the moment and i have tried lots of things from the chemist like piriton etc. , what does everyone else use ? or is there any old homemade remedies???

Stay in doors if possible and take a couple of paracetamol tablets. I’ve tried all the remedies to no avail.

Bad time of year as the pollen count is very high now. If you live near trees such as oak, willow and long grasses and ferns be warned they are the worst offenders for hay fever.

Is there really a fever associate with hay fever?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: hay fever

My son has frequent occurance of fever in school, I took him to his pediatritian, he said there were no infections. For some reason the fever goes away when rainy, and comes back when the weather is sunny. Is this hay fever?

No. hay fever is a nasal allergy, it doesn’t give you a fever. Just runny nose and sneezing.

My baby is deathly allergic to cashews and pistachios, does this mean he is allergic to mangos?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: allergic

My baby is so severely allergic to cashews and pistachios, and someone told me that they are from the same family as the mango, does this mean that he is allergic to the mango. I will not try it for the risk is too great, but it nice to know. My baby is so allergic that we he just touched a nut he had an anaphylaxic reaction. He does go to an allergist, who tested him and told us to avoid all tree nuts.

The doctor said yes they are from the same family, and when my son is 4 they can do a more in-depth test. Currently they tested for all tree nuts by a blood test because of the severity of his reaction, and tested the lugunes (peanut) family by skin test, and he is highly allergic to the tree nuts, and several lugunes (peanuts and lima beans, so we were advised to avoid mangos, use caution, and always have the epi pen readily available. Thank you again everyone for all your help.

It is better to go back to your allergy specialist, he/she is the right person to be asks. Since your baby can have an anaphylactic reaction this can be very dangerous if you make mistake in giving him food.
Good luck.

What is the best Air Conditioner for hay fever?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: hay fever

I live in the UK and I suffer badly from hay fever. I find instant relief when I use the car’s A/C, and also when I am in the air conditioned offices at my work. I hear that some people also find relief when using portable air conditioners at home. So, I’d like to buy one to see if it works. The question is, which ones are best and won’t cost an arm and a leg?

The reason why the A/C in your car helps you feel better is because it also has an air filter in it. So, you can either get an air conditioner at home or just get an air purifier.

Pet Dander Allergy, Any remedies?

Pet Dander Allergy, Any remedies?
I have a Boston Terrier and im allergic to pet dander. Any solutions/remedies other than getting rid of the dog?

Things that might help:-

Always wash your hands after playing with or touching your dog and after handling his toys or bedding – this will help prevent the accidental transfer of dander to your face. Inadvertently rubbing your eyes straight after playing with your dog can cause them to become very itchy and sore.

He shouldn’t be allowed to lick your face.

It’s best not to let your dog sleep on your bed or even in your room (but if for some reason this is not possible at least do not allow him near your face or the pillow) – limiting the chances of inhaling dander when you are asleep which can lead to respiratory problems and even an asthmatic response.

Try to cut down on the presence of pet hair in the house by vacuuming daily and also regular brushing and grooming of your dog.

With just a few life-style changes on your behalf you may well find that you and your little Terrier can still enjoy a very happy life together.

What is the best way to cure hay fever?

What is the best way to cure hay fever?
Or if there is no cure, what best reduces symptoms such as sneezing, sore eyes and slight headaches?

The CURE is LOCAL honey-a teaspoon a day for at least a month and you will be free of hay fever forever. The longer you take it, the healthier you will become. Don’t take antihistamines or decongestants -they dry out your body causing damage to the sinuses and, possibly, the kidneys with long term usage. Your body works with the local honey to gradually build up immunities to all the air born irritants around you. There are no side effects with local honey and you will find that you get fewer cold and flu symptoms as the local honey takes effect.

Can I take anything for hay fever while pregnant?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: hay fever

I’m currently 16 weeks pregnant and I’m going to see my midwife this afternoon (and therefore I will ask her this question too!) but my hay fever has being playing up this past couple of days and my nose is really sore! I usually suffer much worse than I am so I’m not complaining but my nose hurts so much and I just want it to stop running!

Any tips to stop it running? Anything I can take for hay fever? I know it’s my hay fever because I’ve got itchy eyes too – but they’re not bothering me as much!

HI I was always suffering with allergie throught the year and was taking zirtek and when I was pregnant I read on the back of the zirtek box that I should take them when I was pregnant, I asked on here and phone my doctor to ask him and he said it was fine to take them, and a few people on here said they could still take them, but I didnt want to risk it so stopped taking them.

I went into a shop that sells herbal medicines, I know Holland and Barrat sell them too and asked it there, and I was given Kali-phos hayfever relief which is non habit forming and has no side effects and these were actually way better than zirtek, so I would suggest these,

I askef my midwife what I should take etc and she just said ask my doctor but you could always see what your midwife says when you go
