Im Allergic

For some reason, when Im out side, my hay fever effects me very little. I might get the odd runny nose or sneeze but mostly its nothing.

But as soon as I go inside it becomes so much worse, frantic sneezing, itchy eyes and nose. I dont understand it.
Thanks for the replys. Im sure its hayfever, it only comes about during the summer. It used to effect me much worse when I was younger, inside or outside, but its gotten a bit better as Ive got older.

It could be that there is a higher concentration of pollen particles inside. Once they are blown in they accumulate so your getting a much higher exposure. Try to create an exit route by allowing a flow of air through the room.

i want to get a pet, but it needs to be non allery. I would rather it not be a bird. I was thinking about a guinea pig? or are there any non allergy cats?

my own doctors surgery doesn’t do it you see and my hay fever is very severe its ruining my life please help!

You can ask your GP surgery to refer you to an allergy consultant who does hay fever injections. You would be tested to determine exactly what the allergens were first and then have a prescription tailored to your particular needs. You should be able to see the consultant and receive the injections on the nhs but it will be quicker to request a private consultation and treatment if you can afford this.

I love all animals so damn much, and unfortunately I’m unlucky enough to be seriously allergic to pets!!!
I’ve pretty much been allergic to pets my whole life, but they’ve gotten worse over the years. (i used to have asthma)

I’ve heard of these allergy shots you can take that help you with your allergies. I doubt they can help you far enough to relieve you from the allergy entirely, but if it helps me with them it’s good enough for me. The shots are kinda small doses of the allergy itself so your body gets immune to it. You take these shots once a week for a year or too. I would SO be willing to do that to be near animals.

I was wondering if it’s possible for me to get them, I’m 13.

Allergy shots can help you a lot, but you have to be on them for a long time before you see any improvement. I was on allergy shots for two years before I could see any improvement at all. It took five years for me to get the maximum benefits. My series of shots lasted nine years total.

I read the label of the honey where it says produced in the uk, does this honey really works for me with hay fever. I am living in the UK.

From what I have read in the past it does not work. You can always try it, then go to the doctor and get tested to ge the correct allergy meds to help the best. The reason you get tested is because there are so many different base drugs for allergies. you need the correct one to start with.

Can hay fever be as bad so that you can hardly function at all. Like barely be able to move from your bed like having the flu? Right now I’m too ill to go to work and staying in bed. But with allergy symptoms. My eyes are bloodshot. My nose lining is completely swollen. I can’t think straight and I have severe fatigue.

I get these symptoms on and off but not usually as bad but it has been this bad before on several occasions but i didn’t know what was causing it.

Maybe you have a virus on top of your allergies. My allergies get annoying, but not so much as to keep my in bed sick.

Hi, I hear that eating local honey is meant to help alleviate hay fever. I am guessing that I can’t just buy any old honey from Tesco! I need to get some locally produced honey, that is not too processed. But where can I buy this stuff if I live in London (few farmer’s markets around here)?

where in london u need it that local bee keepers all over london a shop in battersea has honey with hive in shop. best way to help hay fever is to eat the cappins best to suck it as it can pull out fillings if u cant get cappings get comb this works best but if u hope it to work fast then sorry once u have a supply keep taking it all year, look up bee keepers on the net they will help u.popa

Yea, my mom loves animals though so she went through five years of shots every week and now only needs one once a year.
