allergic
My boyfriend is allergic to cats. He’s been on allergy meds for over a year & he’s fine with the cats. We broght home a dog yesterday & his eyes have been watering since. Given the fact he forgot to take his meds 2 days in a row the day before & the other day before, does this mean he’s allergic to the dog or is it just his lack of responsibility? I wonder if it’s b/c he forgot the meds the other day & now all this excitement from all the animals is stirring up more dander? Any suggestions?
Absolutely! My boyfriend and I had a similar experience, but now we live successfully with both a cat and dog!
First, yes, they DO have to be diligent about taking care of themselves, but missing 2 days is probably not what did it. Secondly, if you can, try to find out what it is exactly that causes the allergy-for some, its the dander, for some its the hair itself, and for some, its the saliva; for some unknown reason, after 25 years of allergy to all pets, my boyfriend is no longer bothered by dander (granted, hes medicated as well), or hair, but he does better with the cat than the dog because he breaks out when the dog licks him.
That said, he can try a new medicine. Likewise, keeping things VERY clean helps. There are also all sorts of products out there now, such as powder you put down and vaccuum up specifically designed for pet allergies as well as wipes you can get at your local pet stores that help decrease your pets’ allergens.
Hope this helped and good luck!

It is also corn products, like soup with heavy corn starch or corn tortillas. I can’t find anyone who has this response or information. Is it possible this is an allergy/intolerance to corn?
yes you have an allergy to corn. i do too . no corn syrup, corn meal ,corn oil etc. did you know that corn is also known as maltodextrin? you must read all product labels everytime you eat something. ingredients can change between the times that you buy something. i know what i am talking about.

I have to get allergy testing at an allergy center, and testing is so high, and if I test positive, than the shots are expensive too. Just checking to see if they sell a cheaper alternative at a drug store, prolly not, but wondering that works just as good?
I know of one called My Allergy Test. It tests for 10 common allergens and costs about $50 to order it online. But also ask your pharmacist if there is anything available and also if s/he has heard of this one and what s/he thinks of it.

I’ve been looking at allergy medications and most of them say consult a doctor before use if you have thyroid disease. I left a message with my doctor, but what would be the side-effects of someone taking allergy medicine if they had thyroid disease?
The otc medications can affect your heart rate, blood pressure, etc things that are already being controlled by another medication. My doctor told me DO NOT take it, but I also had thyroid cancer. They did however prescribe me Singular. If you are having serious issues with your allergies i suggest you also speak to your doctor about an allergy prescription

allergy information
They sell products such as peanut butter and pancake mixes, etc in Europe. But I need to know allergy information and I thought I could come home and look up the company on the internet and contact them with my questions, but I haven’t had any luck finding them! I didn’t write down anything from the bottle but I know I didn’t see any info as to the company’s location. So, if anyone knows anything about them please let me know! thank you!
Could this be it? Their list of products seems to fit your description.
